Founded in 1998, Advanced Electric Inc. started with a clear vision to promote value in what we do as electrical contractors. Driven by our shared passion to build better and safer communities, we evolved from a small group of dedicated individuals to a company of skilled experts.

We have been proudly serving since 1998 and helped customers of all sizes, and in all industries. Our experiences and exposure to the electrical industry had made us bolder, braver, and exceptionally credible.
About The Founder
Wayne McKenney, the owner of Advanced Electric Inc started his electrical career at an early age working summers during high school for a large electrical company in Augusts Ga. After graduating from the IBEW electrical construction program in 1988 he spent the next 10 years working at Savanah River Plant and Plant Vogtle.
In 1998 he decided to start a new chapter in his life and started Advanced Electric Inc.

Through the years he has grown the company from 1 employee to 17 employees. He has been involved with residential projects ranging from service calls and minor renovations to complete home renovations, and commercial project varying in size from $3,000.00 all the way to $1.2 million. Advanced Electric Inc has developed a special medical services division, where he has over seen the electrical construction of MRI rooms, CT room, Heart Catheterization rooms, Labor and Delivery Operating rooms, X-Ray rooms, Pharmacy renovation, Hospital Laboratory renovations, and Central Sterile rooms to name a few. He has overseen the renovations and construction of a new Cyber Knife room, and Radiation and Radiosurgery treatment rooms in the Cancer Center at Doctors Hospital. He has also over seen the renovations to
Augusta Oncology at Piedmont Hospital.
Over the years Wayne has worked with and earned the respect of most of all the General Contractors in the Augusta area. He is challenged by his faith in God to work for all his clients “as working for the Lord”
and to give them the best electrical job possible.
Wayne resides in Evans Ga with his wife of 38 years Tina. They have two children and four grandchildren
